Classes
We have several monthly classes that contiune to happen within the Province below is the information on each. We also sometimes have Arts and Sciences classes as they become available they will be posted here.
Equestrian
Monthly equestrian practices are held at Elkhorn Equestrian Center, 1905 Elkhorn Blvd. in Rio Linda. Practices are a great opportunity for new riders to get more experience with SCA equestrian activities. They are relaxed and informal, and a good chance to learn new skills or introduce your horse to something different. Non-owners/riders are welcome too! Want to help? We always need assistance with equipment set-up/teardown, taking care of horses, or acquainting newcomers with the Current Middle Ages. If you would like to get horse experience, and need to borrow a private horse, contact Gwen by Wednesday before the practice date. There is no fee to attend or participate at practices, everyone is welcome to come and watch. Children 5-17 may ride, but must wear a modern equestrian safety helmet, closed footwear with a heel and be able to control the horse without a leadline. Contact Gwen at 916-397-9850, if you have questions or to arrange to borrow a horse.
